Honestly, I never thought I would be so quick to rally behind a celeb-created product. But this is Rihanna we’re talking about. And if there’s anyone who can make your lips look instantly fuller, you better believe it’s RiRi. Her lip glosses always deliver impeccable shine and the Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper is no exception. It gives the same high gloss finish, and a hint of color to help make your lips really pop. However, it goes one step further by also plumping your lips. 

I wasn’t sure if the gloss would even make a big difference—but I put some on and hoped for the best. What did I have to lose? About 30 seconds in, I felt the tingling sensation that's very common in lip plumpers when their ingredients react to your skin. Fenty uses a unique and non-irritating "Plump Job Complex" that contains ginger root oil and capsicum fruit extract (pepper) to essentially pinch lips. However, the sensation was faint and totally bearable (nothing like the Lip Venom of our youth). The gloss is pretty thick in texture, but it’s not chunky. Plus? It actually stays put once you apply it. (This seems like an obvious observation, but a lot of glosses fade away in minutes—not this stuff.)

I also love that the gloss is super hydrating. Its formula includes both vitamin E and shea butter, two emollients that help to moisturize, soften and smooth the skin. This ultimately is what helps give the gloss its juicy appearance. I got the gloss in Fenty Glow, but you can also try it Hot Cherry, Hot Chocolit, Fu$$y, and Lemon Lava. 

And while this isn’t exactly the same as getting a filler (I did say similar effect, ok??), the gloss does give my lips a much fuller appearance. Additionally, it moisturizes my lips like a balm and keeps them incredibly smooth in the process.  But I'm not the only one who believes in its plumping powers.
