The singer's wedding-day make-up came courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury

When Britney Spears married her longtime partner Sam Asghari, she turned to make-up expert Charlotte Tilbury for the ultimate bridal beauty look. The singer said her vows during an intimate ceremony in the garden of her sprawling LA home on Thursday (9 June).

The bride opted for a "timeless, glowing" make-up look to enhance her natural beauty and complement her classic Versace wedding dress, which had been custom-made by Donatella Versace specially for her big day – along with three other Versace designs for the celebrations. The look consisted of radiant skin, a soft smoky eye, peachy cheeks and a nude-pink lip.

"I was so thrilled and honoured to be asked to design Britney's bridal beauty look," says Tilbury. "Britney is the Queen of Pop and an icon of our time who has inspired and empowered us all with her joy and positive energy. She's such a natural beauty and has the most mesmerising big, brown eyes."

The make-up artist and brand founder explained that she wanted to create a "timeless and glowing look that complemented all four of her custom Versace gowns", adding that she looked "so gorgeous and happy". Charlotte's niece, Sofia Tilbury – who is also a celebrity make-up artist – joined Spears on the day to bring the look to life.

In the run-up to the wedding, Charlotte gave Britney her "magic recipe" for glowing skin, which meant applying her popular Goddess Skin clay mask, Charlotte's Magic Cream, and the Collagen Superfusion facial oil, among other skin prep products.

Then, on the day itself, Sofia started by applying the Beautiful Skin foundation, followed by the Magic Away concealer and the Hollywood Contour Wand. Britney's peachy glow then came courtesy of the Beauty Light Want in Peachgasm, and the Cheek to Chic in Pillow Talk, with a touch of Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow bronzer.

When it came to eyes, Sofia combined the Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette with Eyes to Mesmerise in Oyster, and defined them with the Exagger-Eyes Liner Duo and the Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes Mascara. Britney's brows were filled in with Brow Cheat in Soft Brown and then set with Brow Fix.

Finally, for the perfect nude-pink lips, Sofia used a trio of products on the bride: Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, and Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk.

Charlotte Tilbury has made something of a name for herself in the celebrity bridal beauty realm; she was previously also responsible for the make-up looks worn by Kate Moss and Amal Clooney on their respective wedding days.
