Rihanna has always been a trendsetter—in the world of music, fashion and beauty but the star's latest idea has confused and divided fans.

Ketchup fans will be all over the "Work" singer's latest release—a new makeup line for Fenty Beauty that incorporates actual ketchup, yes, the sauce.

The billionaire's Fenty Beauty line this week shared a preview of an upcoming makeup line in collaboration with MSCHF, the company behind rapper Lil Nas X's controversial Satan Shoes.

"New drop with @mschf. Ketchup or makeup?" the caption on the Instagram announcement reads.

Accompanying photos show models applying ketchup to their lips as if it were lipstick.

The packaging looks like a normal Heinz ketchup sauce packet but just says the word sauce with a drawing of a tomato.

According to a MSCHF's website for the initiative, the collaboration contains "six packets that each contain either ketchup or lip gloss."

So the twist is, beauty fans could end up paying $25 for six packets of ketchup.

The concept has certainly gotten people talking, but Rihanna fans and beauty fans, in general, are confused.

"i could go to sephora, buy an actual fenty lipgloss, go to mcdonald's, buy a McDouble, and take as many free ketchup packets as i wanted for less than this box," reads one tweet from influencer Zoe Amira.

While TV host Denise Salcedo added: "next time i've got ketchup in my mouth -- imma be like 'it's Fenty' --- but fr I love the concept but idk about the real ketchup part LOL they should just do all lip gloss. No one wants to pay for ketchup packets LOL."

On Instagram, one fan commented: "I'm sorry but who wants to spend $25 to end up getting ketchup packets."

While another added: "So if u get a lipgloss it's just an open packet? Wouldn't that dry out p fast. Also imagine spending money on ketchup packets."

Meanwhile, dozens of TikTok creators have been unboxing the product and documenting the experience for fans.

Creator Alyssa Lorraine opened two ketchup packets before coming across a lip gloss while Christxiee found the makeup straight away.

Lil Nas X sparked controversy last year for his collaboration with MSCHF on the "Satan Shoes."

The sneakers were a custom version of Nike's Air Max 97 sneakers that feature a pentagram pendant, a reference to a Bible verse about Satan's fall from heaven and, reportedly, a drop of real human blood.

Controversy erupted over the shoes at the time with Nike taking legal action against the art collective. The two parties eventually reached a settlement outside of court.
