On August 7, 2022, The Ministry of Culture held a celebration to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. At the occasion, the Ministry recognised the efforts of 75 digital creators for their contributions to our heritage and culture. Among them was Mira Rajput Kapoor. The mother of two, who has been garnering followers for her clean lifestyle choices, was lauded for her contribution for promoting Ayurveda on social media. “Ayurveda is the power of Indian knowledge and tradition pulsating through our body everyday. The power of nature, nutrition and balance,” she wrote on her Instagram. Rajput Kapoor opted for the said pink anarkali for this special occasion from one of her go-to designers, Ridhi Mehra.

“Mira’s outfit, Posie, is a beautifully silk ruched anarkali drenched in a lovely light onion pink hue. The bodice is delicately embroidered with floral threadwork. The look is completed with a net dupatta. This sublime masterpiece is from our couture collection ‘Beginnings’. With Indian couture at its finest, ‘Beginnings’ is a glamorous collection that embraces modernity, femininity and liberty in its most pristine form. The entire collection exhibits rich, pampering fabrics such as silk, tulle and organza,” revealed Mehra.

Instead of loading up on chunky jewels, Mira Rajput Kapoor wore just a pair of statement chaandbali earrings to accessorise her Ridhi Mehra anarkali. Soft makeup in neutral tones and a small bindi made for her beauty look. “A romantic pink anarkali, like Mira’s, makes an ideal pick for day celebrations like mehandi. And it will also be apt for an evening event like a sangeet party. The best part about its rich silky allure is that it will do justice to any other festive occasion as well.” Want to invest in a similar look? We know where you can buy the exact same set online.

No festive look is complete without the perfect earrings. Instead of opting for chaandbalis, she added a vintage touch to her outfit by styling it with Sheetal Zaveri’s silver Pakhi earrings . Breezy floral kurtas are a mainstay in summer wardrobes, and Mira Rajput Kapoor’s off-white Anavila number is definitely a wardrobe essential. The roomy piece featured wide sleeves that gathered at the cuff, and its fabric, a cotton linen blend, made it ideal for hot afternoons. Rajput Kapoor let her kurta do all the talking by skipping on all accessories save for her engagement ring. She completed the look with a hint of lip gloss and freshly blow-dried hair (which, according to the mom-of-two, didn’t last more than two minutes in Mumbai’s humid weather).

If you’re looking to add some comfortable pieces to your own kurta collection, Mira Rajput Kapoor’s Anavila shirt is the perfect piece to invest in. Consciously made, this number can also be styled with statement earrings for a more elevated look. Scroll to find the exact piece to recreate the outfit.

Last evening, Mira Rajput Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor flew to New Delhi to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, which also saw Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Rajinikanth, Sushant Singh Rajput and Aditya Roy Kapoor among the guests. For the event, Rajput Kapoor took the ethnic route and picked an ivory floral anarkali by Debyani + Co, styled with a pair of metallic heels and her go-to Chanel tote bag. Shahid Kapoor complemented her in a black suit. If you’ve been on the lookout for a floral festive look, Rajput Kapoor’s anarkali is the one you need to check out.

Mira Rajput Kapoor half-sleeved anarkali featured orange and green blooms that made it appropriate for a day event. The actor completed her look with a matching ivory dupatta with micro florals in the same hue.
