I'll be honest. I'm yet to try a Fenty Beauty product that doesn't make me immediately fall in love.

Rihanna knows how to make a damn good makeup product and that is straight facts.

So it came as no surprise that 1 week after the newest lip product launched, it went gangbusters over on TikTok. The Fenty Beauty Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain ($37) was on everyone's FYP and in everyone's shopping carts. No joke – it has been sold out at Sephora for weeks now.

Naturally, I felt left out and had to give it a go. Here are my thoughts.

Lip stains haven't been one of the most popular products. Not because there is anything wrong with them, they just haven't been viewed as very "trendy". Safe to say, that has changed.

The lip stain comes in packaging similar to liquid lipstick or gloss. With a twist cap, you pull out the wand that has an angled head that makes applying it to the lips incredibly easy and precise.

It feels hydrating immediately. Honestly, it feels more like a balm than a lip stain but it also isn't too thick. As old mate Goldilocks loved to say, it's "just right".

Fenty recommends applying a thin layer to the centre of the lips and working outwards but I'm a rebel and preferred to line my lips then work inward. That way, as the stain fades it still looks like I'm wearing lip liner.

The initial layer is very pigmented. If you like it then leave it on. If you don't, leave it for a few minutes and wipe it away for a more subtle stained colour. I personally enjoy both depending on the event.

The stain itself lasted all day long for me. I'm a lazy beauty lover so the fact that I don't have to touch up my lipstick for literal hours makes this product a must-have in my books. A big ol' 10/10 from me.

The only note I have is that it does stick to any dry patches on your lips so be sure to give them some lip balm or an exfoliation if you tend to get dry lips. You're going to get that effect with any lip stain though, not just this product.

Abso-freaking-lutely. I completely understand the hype and why this bad boy has been sold out for weeks now. If you manage to spot it online or in-store at Sephora, do yourself a favour and grab 10.
