This Two-in-One Lipstick Is the Secret to the Perfect Nude Lip - NewBeauty

The nude lip trend isn’t going away any time soon—I think it’s here to stay forever—because that “your lips but better” look just doesn’t go out of style. It’s the ultimate way to look put together in an instant; it’s that little boost bare lips need before walking into a big meeting or a first date (when a bold red lip feels like a little too much). Doll 10’s two-in-one Nude Lip Wardrobe is everything you need to nail the look. Here’s why I love it, and happy National Lipstick Day! (You can try it too in this week’s installment of BeautyPass’s Free Gift Friday. Click here to sign up for BeautyPass if you haven’t already).

Doll 10 president and founder Dr. Doris Dalton calls it “one of those iconic lipsticks you just can’t be without,” and I agree. One end houses a buttery lipstick, and on the other you get a coordinating lip gloss. The two pair beautifully, though you can wear each one alone as well, which is great because, if you’re like me, you like having options.

Available in five nude shades that suit all skin tones—my personal favorite duo is Pillow Talk/Love Hangover—the lipstick offers full-coverage color while also conditioning your lips with cocoa seed butter, mango seed butter, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and hyaluronic acid. The lip gloss is silky, never sticky and contains light-enhancing pigments that make lips look subtly fuller. Another key ingredient in the gloss called DuraQuench IQ provides added hydration and free-radical protection (free radicals age the lips like they do the skin) and also helps repair the lips’ moisture barrier, aka you don’t get that dry feeling you get after wearing many other lip glosses.

All Doll 10 products are free of sulfates (LS and SLES), parabens, formaldehydes and formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinylpalmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban.

You can wear either end by itself, but if you want to layer them, apply the lipstick first and the gloss on top. Sometimes I like to just dab the gloss in the center of my bottom lip and then press my lips together for a little extra shine in the middle—the plumpest section of the lips—but leaving the sides lipstick-only. Another fun trick to try, especially if you snagged the BeautyPass Free Gift Friday today and got two shades, is to find out which shade combos you like best together and then you can swap the lipsticks out to pair them with your favorite gloss. I’m also a fan of the brand’s hydrating lip liner, which is the icing on the cake with this combo if you’re interested in trying other products from the brand.

I love a good two-in-one beauty product, and this lip duo not only saves room in my purse, but the formulas and shades are spot-on, too. It’s the secret to the perfect nude lip in a couple quick swipes.
