"RUN DONT WALK, this literally feels so nice on my lips, I’m in love with it good bye lipsticks forever"

A woman has claimed to have found a replica to Charlotte Tilbury's £28 lip oil for just a fraction of the price at budget supermarket Aldi. Taking to popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to share her dupe, Nadine Tunnicliffe says Aldi's cheaper offering comes in at a price of just £2.99 and smells 'divine'.

The supermarket shopper also claims the dupe has a similar crystal roller ball inside to apply the oil onto the lips, and has very similar ingredients. In the post, alongside the images of the two products side-by-side and their lists of ingredients, she wrote: "Just been to Aldi and found the replica of the Charlotte Tilbury magic lip oil."

She adds: "Smells exactly the same which is Devine!! And has the crystal roller ball too! All for £2.99. Unlike £28 (which I actually paid for the CT one). EDIT: Ingredient info: now added photos."

Since uploading her discovery to the Facebook page, it has been liked more than 1.5k times, with almost a thousand people swamping the comments section.

Natalie posted: "I have the same; it’s identical!" June wrote: "I need this." Dawn tagged a friend and asked: "Keep an eye out I need these." Rebecca added: "Omg I’m sure our Aldi had these the other day I had no idea it was a dupe!"

Gemma said: "I absolutely love the Lacura dupes, they are always spot on, saved a bargain!" Posting an image of the oil on her lips, Hollie told fellow members: "RUN DONT WALK this literally feels so nice on my lips I’m in love with it good bye lipsticks forever."

In response to someone asking if Aldi's item does have the exact same ingredients as the Charlotte Tilbury product, Nadine said: "Packaging, the smell. The consistency are similar. Obviously the Charlotte Tilbury is probably over glorifying their 'eight ingredients' when they only list three or four on the website... So please. Take it as a pinch of salt to the word “dupe” because we’re all aware they aren’t. They are similar. As this page is all about bargains. This is the closest thing to something that costs a fraction of the real product."

On Aldi's website, a description of its lip collagen roller reads: "Plump and protect your pout with the Lacura Collagen Lip Oil (£2.99, 8ml). Formulated with Collagen, Vitamin E and Shea Butter to help lips appear hydrated, smooth and full of shine. With a few easy brushes, lips will be coated in a soft, light veil which will feel as good as it looks."

Meanwhile, on the Charlotte Tilbury website, it says its £28 product is a "lip conditioner by day; lip mask by night." It adds: "The lip oil is enriched with ground-breaking, potent ingredients your lips will love to hydrate, smooth and enhance the look of your lips, including the high-tech Swertian Leaf Extract to reduce the appearance of lip lines, potent plant adaptogen extracts like Resurrection Leaf to LOCK IN MOISTURE, Sqisandryl for plumper-looking lips and Hyaluronic Acid to instantly hydrate!"
